"Swift" reveal new electronic robberies of banks



It revealed the global financial communications association between banks (SWIFT) for new electronic
 attacks on member banks, while pressing it on these banks to comply with the strict security measures after the incident and the theft of $ 81 million of the Central Bank of Bangladesh in February.

The Brussels-based SWIFT in the letter disclosed on Tuesday that some of the victims of the new attacks, lost money, but did not remember the amounts that were stolen or the number of successful cyber attacks.

Swift also did not reveal the identity of the victims, but said the banks have varied in size and geographic location, and use different ways of dealing through Swift.

A spokeswoman for Swift to elaborate on the incidents that have been detected in recent times, or detailed in the letter of security issues, said the Assembly does not discuss the affairs of certain clients.

The letter said that all the victims were involved in one thing, a weak domestic security exploited by attackers to penetrate the local networks, and to send fraudulent messages to request financial transfers.
